City Cruises (part of City Experiences) runs sightseeing, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and themed cruises along the Thames in London, plus hop-on hop-off river passes. It suits sightseers, couples on date nights, families, tourists ticking off London landmarks, and groups booking parties, weddings or corporate events on the water.
Book a City Cruises sightseeing, dining or themed cruise on the Thames and you’ll get 10% of what you spend back as rewards points, automatically and without a code. It’s less of a one-off discount and more of a standing perk for anyone who cruises with City Cruises more than once. Join City Experiences Rewards before you book and the points land on your account ready for next time.
Book a £60 sightseeing and dining cruise through your Rewards account and you’ll earn £6 back in points to put towards your next City Cruises trip.
Anyone can join – City Experiences Rewards is free to sign up and open to new and existing customers. You just need to be logged into your Rewards account when you book for the 10% in points to be tracked and credited.
Because the 10% comes back as points rather than off the price, it’s worth pairing with whatever else brings the upfront cost down. A seasonal sale on sightseeing or dining cruises, a multi-cruise or combined ticket, or a first-order newsletter offer all lower what you pay at checkout – and your Rewards account still banks 10% of that lower amount afterwards. In practice, the points are a bonus on top of however you book, not a reason to skip other savings.
No. It’s not a discount code – it’s 10% of your booking value paid back as points once you’ve joined City Experiences Rewards and booked while signed in.
Sign up to City Experiences Rewards for free, then book your Thames cruise while logged into that account. The points are credited based on what you spent.
Points are for future bookings rather than the trip you’ve just paid for, so use them towards your next City Cruises sightseeing, dining or themed cruise.
No – City Experiences Rewards is an ongoing programme, not a time-limited offer, so you can join and start earning points whenever you book.
It isn’t advertised as exclusive, but City Cruises hasn’t confirmed how it interacts with every other discount, so check at checkout if you’re also using another code or automatic reduction.
This rewards scheme runs alongside City Cruises’ separate automatic reductions for NHS staff, key workers and Freedom Pass holders, so eligible visitors keep their discount at checkout and still earn 10% back in points on top. There’s no extra step needed beyond booking through your Rewards account. See our full City Cruises discount codes page for the current key worker and NHS options.
Students booking with Student Beans get their own separate saving on selected cruises, and that comes off the price at checkout rather than through this points scheme – so a student can use both, paying less upfront and still banking points for a future trip. Groups of 20 or more get a discounted group rate that also sits outside this rewards offer. Our full City Cruises discount codes page lists all of these together.
