HotelsByDay is a day-use hotel booking platform covering the UK, USA, Canada, Latin America and Spain. Instead of a full night, you book a private room for a set block of hours — perfect for layovers, early check-in, late checkout, remote work, new parents, or a few hours to freshen up between meetings. Hundreds of hotels are on the platform, from budget-friendly to boutique, bookable in minutes via the website or app.
Book a day-use room at HotelsByDay and get 5% of your booking back in MasterKey Coins towards a future stay – no code required. It’s a simple way to make every layover, early check-in or between-meetings break pay you back, across HotelsByDay’s hotels in the UK, USA, Canada, Latin America and Spain.
Book a £120 day-use room and you’ll earn around £6 back in MasterKey Coins towards your next HotelsByDay stay.
Anyone can join – sign up to MasterKey for free before booking. You must be an adult, and only bookings made after you join earn coins.
No. You just need to be signed in as a MasterKey member when you book – the 5% is credited as coins automatically.
Once you’ve earned enough, a “Book With Coins” option appears on eligible hotel listings so you can put them towards a future day stay at checkout.
No – bookings made using a separate discount code don’t earn coins, so pick whichever saves you more for that booking.
HotelsByDay doesn’t publish a fixed expiry, but coins can’t be redeemed for same-day bookings or cashed out, so it’s worth using them on your next trip.
There’s no separate NHS or Blue Light scheme tied to this coins offer – NHS staff and key workers join MasterKey for free and earn the same 5% back as everyone else. See our full HotelsByDay discount codes page for other ways to save.
This offer is the membership perk itself: join MasterKey for free and earn 5% of every booking back in coins, with no separate student tier. Students can sign up the same way and build up coins towards a future stay.
