Air India is India’s flag carrier airline, flying an extensive network of domestic routes across India plus long-haul connections to the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. Choose from Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First (on select routes), with modern cabins across a fleet that’s been steadily refreshed.
It suits long-haul flyers heading to India, NRIs visiting family, and anyone wanting a direct route into major Indian cities without switching airlines mid-journey. Check our Air India discount codes before you book your fare.
Air India error fares can save you up to 70% on flights between the UK and India, with no code required. These are genuine pricing slips that pop up on selected routes before Air India corrects them, so the trick is simply booking fast once you spot one. If you’re planning a trip to visit family, explore India, or connect onward across Asia, this is the cheapest way to fly Air India right now.
If an error fare drops a £600 return flight to India by 70%, you’d pay around £180 instead – a saving of roughly £420 on one ticket.
Anyone can book an Air India error fare – there’s no membership, code or verification needed. Just search your route and be ready to book quickly when a discounted fare appears.
No, these fares appear automatically in Air India’s normal booking system – there’s no discount code to enter.
Error fares can cut the price of selected Air India routes by up to 70%, though the exact saving depends on which fare is live when you book.
Usually only a few hours to a couple of days before the airline corrects the pricing, so book as soon as you spot one.
They can appear on any route, including UK to India and onward connections, but availability changes constantly so check regularly.
No, error fares are open to anyone booking directly with Air India, new or existing customers.
Air India doesn’t run a dedicated NHS discount for error fares, but NHS staff and key workers can book these reduced fares the same as anyone else. If you want a guaranteed NHS-specific saving, check our full Air India discount codes page for other options.
Error fares aren’t tied to student or senior citizen concessions, but you can still combine the mindset of grabbing a low fare with Air India’s Student or Senior Citizen booking options on other routes. Frequent flyers can also earn loyalty points when booking an error fare, just as with any other ticket.
