What Is My Lounge at Luton Airport?

My Lounge opened at London Luton Airport in June 2024, replacing the former Aspire lounge on the first floor of the departures area. No1 Lounges operates it as part of Airport Dimensions’ UK portfolio, and it’s pitched as a relaxed, accessible option for any departing passenger, regardless of airline or cabin class.

The lounge has a capacity of 135 seats. It sits alongside the smaller No1 Lounge, bringing the total combined airside lounge capacity to just under 200 seats at Luton Airport. With that context, let’s discuss where you can find My Lounge within the terminal.

Where Is It? (How to Find It)

You’ll find My Lounge after security and duty-free, in the main departure hall, located next to Accessorize. You can easily walk straight past it, thinking it’s a shop, so stick to the left-hand side as you go through the main departure hall.

The lounge itself is on the first floor overlooking the departure terminal. So look for the entrance, which looks like a shop front, to access the stairs or the lift up to the lounge. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the terminal below, though there are no airside or tarmac views. If you specifically want to watch planes, the No1 Lounge nearby has a runway view. Having found the lounge, now let’s look at what food and drink you can expect inside.

Food and drink:

My Lounge features a self-service grazing menu and a fully staffed bar serving premium beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails. Plus complimentary soft drinks and hot drinks from self-service vending facilities. Food is buffet-style, with hot options typically including soup, salads, comfort dishes and breakfast items.

We arrived just before 11.00am in time for breakfast. It had the normal English breakfast items, including our favourite, hash browns. They also had a build-your-own-bap station plus pancakes. Continental breakfast was also available with fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, cereal, grains and fruit.

Lounge Lunch Menu

For lunch, they served a make-your-own gyros with chicken, vegetarian options and chips for fillings. The food is fresh, and of decent quality; it’s not the same as a flag carrier first class lounge, but for a pay-on-the-door entry lounge, it’s definitely better than others we’ve been to. Beyond food and drink, the lounge also offers a range of facilities.

Facilities:

The lounge features comfortable seating, plenty of power outlets, and free Wi-Fi. We found this to be a bit slow, even though the lounge wasn’t busy, which was a bit frustrating. There are also TV screens, a family lounge area, and bistro-style seating.

The toilets are all individual cubicles and are regularly cleaned, along with baby-changing facilities. The overall lounge has a modern, chic and relaxed design, and the hours can quite easily tick away here without even noticing. It’s very quiet and doesn’t usually have families, so it’s a calmer environment.

How Much Does My Lounge Cost?

Prices for on-the-door payments are from £37.99 per adult, with walk-in access on the day, subject to availability. However, don’t ever pay this price, as there are many ways to get in for much cheaper, around £20, or even free with the right lounge membership cards. Pre-booking is recommended in the summer months, as if they are full, they run a virtual queue system; however, pre-booking comes with another cost. So you have to weigh this into as well.

Can I Use Priority Pass at My Lounge Luton?

Yes. My Lounge accepts Priority Pass, Lounge Key, and DragonPass memberships. Luton lounges currently welcome Priority Pass holders with standard entry under their card terms, typically without an additional fee. Cardholders of eligible products—such as Amex Platinum and select Barclays and HSBC cards—can access the lounge if lounge access is included with their membership. Benefits, such as free guest visits or the number of free entries per year, depend on the card issuer’s policy.

We use Barclays Premier Banking, which offers a free DragonPass membership and lounge entry for £20 per person as a cardholder benefit. American Express Gold is a popular option, as it includes four free Priority Pass lounge entries per year. After the first year, the Amex Gold has an annual fee, so check what value you get from it before renewing.

What Are the Opening Hours?

My Lounge is open from 4am to 9pm daily, which is slightly later than the No1 Lounge next door, which closes at 8pm. The early opening makes it a good option if you’re on one of Luton’s many early-morning departures, so you can get in there and have breakfast before your flight.

Is My Lounge Luton Worth the Money?

The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff made this a must for our flight, especially since we were flying with a budget airline from Luton Airport. Having some form of normality before being treated like cattle is essential. We thought the food quality was good for a budget lounge, and the space and design played well into its recent updates.

For us, the value question comes down to how long you have and what you’d otherwise spend airside. If you’re there for 90 minutes or more, you’ll eat and drink more than enough to justify the entry price. If you’re rushing through, the terminal now has decent food options that may serve you just as well. Before booking, consider the lounge’s dress code.

Dress Code

My Lounge enforces a dress code and reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone wearing sports shirts, beach flip flops, vests, fancy dress, or clothing with offensive slogans. This is great because it essentially stops stag groups and people who can’t keep their voice down from coming in. Anyone dressed in normal travel casual clothing will be fine.

How to Book

If you are travelling off-peak during the quiet season and have a lounge pass, don’t pay extra to book; just turn up and use your pass. If you don’t have a lounge pass or membership, pre-booking will be cheaper; you can do it directly or via numerous lounge resellers. The earlier you book, the cheaper it’ll be. If you’re travelling in the summer and want to make sure you’ll get into the lounge, you’ll have to pay the extra reservation fee.
