Getting to Phantasialand on Public Transport
Phantasialand is easily accessible by both public transport and car. It features a large on-site car park. If you travel by public transport, get to Brühl, where a shuttle bus will pick you up from Brühl Bahnhof (the regional railway station) or Brühl Mitte (the Cologne subway station).
Train to Phantasialand
Since we were staying in that area, we took the RB26 train from Köln West (West Cologne). The ticket cost €4 each way, and the journey took only 15 minutes. The Phantasialand Shuttle Bus will pick you up outside the station. A return ticket is €5, which can be purchased with cash on board the bus.

Booking your tickets online and in advance is the cheapest way to gain all-day access to the theme park. The ticket prices are straightforward, with all rides and shows included. This provides excellent value for your money. Although Phantasialand isn’t as large as Disney World, it will keep you occupied for the entire day. When you think of theme parks, Phantasialand stands out with its thrilling rides. What’s remarkable is that they don’t just aim for the craziest loops or tallest drops; they focus on crafting a one-of-a-kind experience. Phantasialand Best Rollercoaster
Our favourite ride must be Taron, the park’s flagship coaster. It’s won tons of awards for its excellent design and exhilarating experience. Taron picks up speed, launching you forward multiple times, all while twisting and turning through beautifully designed landscapes. Spanning over 1,320 meters, it combines speed with airtime hills, making for an unforgettable ride we couldn’t get enough of. It’s our favourite roller coaster ever!

One of the highlights of our visit was catching the winter show “Spectaculum Phantastère.” Let me tell you, it was phenomenal! The performance was a mind blowing mix of live singing, acrobatics, and jaw-dropping tricks that reminded us of Cirque du Soleil. The energy from the entire cast was contagious, and they created a cosy and festive vibe that made the whole experience feel special. If planning a trip, do yourself a favour and make time for a show. It’s the perfect way to take a break from all the rides and have a moment to recharge.

Phantasialand emphasises its captivating special effects, ensuring that every aspect of the park’s design immerses visitors in an extraordinary experience. Each themed area showcases a dazzling special effects show in the evening, transforming the park into a magical spectacle. We had a fantastic time at Phantasialand! This charming theme park may be smaller, but it brings excitement with its thrilling attractions and activitie. What impressed us the most was the remarkable attention to detail in every corner—from the vibrant theming to the immersive environments. You never feel like just another visitor; instead, it’s clear that the park genuinely cares about providing a memorable experience, free from the pressure to buy merchandise.
