Smarty is a SIM-only mobile network running on Three’s UK network, with 99% 4G/5G coverage and no annual contracts. Plans roll monthly, from light 5GB bundles right up to unlimited data, making Smarty a great fit for switchers who want flexibility, students on a budget, and anyone fed up with overpaying on a traditional contract. EU roaming is included as standard, with no credit check to join.
Set up a Smarty group and everyone in it gets 10% off their Mix and Match SIM plan, no code required. It’s a simple way for friends, family or flatmates to cut their mobile bill while keeping their own number and their own choice of data allowance.
Add between 2 and 8 lines to a single group, and the 10% comes off each member’s plan automatically every month.
Add 4 friends to a Mix and Match group, each on a £10 plan, and the 10% discount brings every plan down to £9 – a combined £4 off each month, or £48 a year, just for grouping together.
Anyone can use this offer – new and existing Smarty customers are both eligible. You just need at least one other person to join your group, up to a maximum of 8 members, each on their own Mix and Match data plan.
No. The 10% saving on Mix and Match group plans is applied automatically once your group is set up – there’s no code to enter.
You need at least 2 SIMs to start a group, and you can grow it to up to 8 different plans.
Does this work for existing Smarty customers?
Yes. Existing customers can convert their current plan into a group, and new customers can join a group when they sign up.
Yes, each member keeps their existing number when they join the group.
No – it’s a standing, rolling offer with no end date.
Smarty doesn’t run a separate NHS scheme for group plans, but NHS staff and Blue Light Card holders can set up or join a Mix and Match group just like anyone else and get the same 10% per-member saving. For NHS-specific routes, check our full Smarty discount codes page.
There’s no student verification needed for this group discount – it stacks on top of whoever’s already in your group, students included. Full-time students after a solo deal can still verify separately with Student Beans; for the group plan itself, the 10% per-member saving applies regardless of status.
