Cycling to Cap De Formentor

The Cycling Route to Cap De Formentor
This ride really is a a tough yet achievable mixed hill climb ride worth it for the stunning views. You will cover approximately 47 miles and 5,700ft of climbing as you whizz around the bay of Port De Pollenca. Heading off immediately to the well known Cap De Formentor along some beautiful climbs and windy roads, after arriving at the Formentor lighthouse you will turn back to do it all again in the other direction but this time at the peak of Cap De Formentor turning up and climbing to Albercutx Watchtower. From this lovely viewpoint you will then have a long and fast decent into Port De Pollenca with the opportunity to have lunch in the town.

Cycling back from Cap De Formentor
If up for the challenge you can then head towards the Alcudia side of the bay which is alot more quieter and follow it to Pinars de Bonaire along some slightly less traversed windy roads to see it all from the other side. On your return you may wish to stop and have a look round the old historical town of Alcudia and the lovely streets before doing the final stretch across the bay back to Port De Pollenca.
