TruTravels runs small-group backpacking tours for 18-39 year olds across Thailand, Bali, Vietnam, Peru, Morocco and dozens more destinations. Trips are built for solo travellers who want a ready-made group, a local guide and a route that covers the must-see spots without the planning hassle. Most travellers come alone and leave with a tight-knit group of new friends.
TruTravels rewards its most loyal travellers with a 5% VIP Club discount on full-price tours. Once you have clocked up 30+ days on tour, Game-Changer status unlocks automatically – no code to hunt for, just a lower price on your next trip. It is TruTravels’ way of saying thanks for coming back for another multi-week adventure.
5% off a £1,200 TruTravels Southeast Asia tour saves you £60 once your Game-Changer status kicks in.
Open to returning TruTravels travellers who have completed 30+ days on tour (the Game-Changer tier). Your VIP Club status updates automatically in your TruTravels account once you qualify – contact info@trutravels.com to confirm your benefits.
No. The 5% Game-Changer discount applies automatically once your TruTravels account reaches VIP Club status – there is no code to enter at checkout.
You need 30 or more cumulative days on TruTravels tours to reach Game-Changer tier, which carries the 5% discount on full-price trips.
No, there’s no end date – once you hit Game-Changer status, the 5% discount stays on your account for future bookings.
Not straight away – the VIP Club is built for returning travellers, so you’ll need to complete your qualifying tour days first before the 5% rate applies.
TruTravels doesn’t publish stacking rules, so check with the team at info@trutravels.com before booking a sale departure.
The VIP Club discount isn’t an NHS-specific offer – it’s earned through tour days, not ID checks. NHS and Blue Light Card holders who haven’t yet reached Game-Changer status can still get money off through TruTravels’ own NHS discount route; see our full TruTravels discount codes page for the latest NHS offers.
This 5% rate is the entry tier of TruTravels’ own VIP Club, unlocked once you’ve completed 30+ tour days rather than through a student scheme. Full-time students without that history can claim a separate discount via Student Beans – worth comparing against our full TruTravels discount codes page before you book.
